Today Textiles, December 2022
2023, Cotton and polyester textiles woven on a
Tc2 digital jacquard loom
Each approximately 22” x 43”
In daily moments prompted by the social app Be Real, I snap pictures of my surroundings via the photo filter app, camera+, altering the photo into a pixelated, color-minimal translation. I then convert these images into weaving files legible to the Tc2 digital jacquard loom. My process collaborates with technology, retranslating images into textiles that both distort and archive the everyday.
